Join us for a peaceful, creative morning learning the art of cyanotype printmaking. We’ll take a nature walk to collect objects, and then use the exposure of the sun to create unique indigo prints. No experience necessary, a very casual, easy workshop which will result in some beautiful indigo coloured artwork for you to take home!

A visit to Margaret River isn't complete without a walk through the forest, surrounded by tall Karri trees, we'll take a short stroll along Margaret River herself, and collect fallen leaves and objects for our art prints. There are some beautiful spots along the walk for photos, including the weir, a bridge, and a magical spot where old trees reflect like a mirror in the still water created by the weir.

Take home:
- a set of 4 art prints created with the non toxic cyanotype process, using the sunshine and fallen leaves
- learn about cyanotype printing which is a really simple but effective process with a huge range of possibilities, and unlike other print making processes doesn't require a heap of heavy equipment!
- the experience of a mindful forest walk in beautiful Margaret River!

Meet at Rotary Park, Margaret River at 9am sharp. All materials supplied. Parking and public toilets are available at the park. If it's raining please weather weather appropriate clothes and footwear. If the weather is forecast for very heavy rain we will try to find an alternate location and will be in touch prior to the day. The walk path we will take as a group is narrow and undulating, although there are options for all accessibilities and abilities if needed.

It's a 5 min walk to famous Margaret River bakery if you needed to fuel up on coffee before or after the workshop! Just allow for lots of time as they get very busy, or head to Alchemy Eats next door to them. Hairy Marron is even closer for a more basic snack/coffee)
